A real fisherman. Held the State of Washington record for salmon on a flyrod. Was always fishing. Also hunted often. Also was Stores Manager at Western States Hospital in Steilacoom.
For many years Carl with the Manager Of Sporting Goods Dept, Engers Hardware Store, Tacoma WA. He became quite well known among sportsmen and fishermen.

Had seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren, all lived in the Olympia area.
